Your Filter Is Doing the Dirty Work. Don't Make It Work Overtime.

Every day, your fountain's filter quietly pulls hair, dust, food particles, chlorine taste and heavy metals out of your pet's water. After 2–4 weeks, it's saturated — and a spent filter doesn't just stop cleaning, it slows water flow and can start giving the water back what it took out.

Fresh filters are the cheapest insurance for the fountain you already invested in. Swap takes 30 seconds.

Replacement filter and sponge pre-filter for Pawesome stainless steel water fountain

Three Layers of Clean, Every Refill

🧵 Cotton Mesh Layer — traps hair, fur and floating debris before it reaches the pump (this also protects your pump and extends its life).

🌑 Coconut-Shell Activated Carbon — absorbs odours and that chlorine "tap water" taste picky drinkers turn their nose up at.

💎 Ion-Exchange Resin — reduces heavy metals and softens the water for a cleaner, fresher taste.

Each replacement pack includes a filter + sponge pre-filter — the sponge catches the big stuff, the filter polishes the rest.

When to Swap

Every 2–4 weeks — sooner if you have multiple pets, hard water, or notice slower flow, cloudy water, or your pet drinking less. Set a monthly phone reminder and forget about it.

Fitting & First Use

Made for the Pawesome Filtered Water Fountain. Before installing, soak the new filter in clean water for 5 minutes — this rinses off loose carbon dust so your water stays crystal clear from the first fill.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wash and reuse a filter?
No — washing breaks down the carbon and resin layers and pushes trapped debris deeper in. Filters are single-use by design; that's what makes them effective.

Can I run the fountain without a filter?
It will run, but you lose the whole point — debris reaches the pump faster and the water stays untreated. We don't recommend it.

Why is the water slightly grey on first fill?
That's harmless loose carbon dust. Soak the filter for 5 minutes before installing and it won't happen.
